How much do e-readers save over their lifetimes?

Can you comment on what you mean by “save”? Are you referring to cost? Paper? Efficiency? Environmental impact? It’s difficult to answer this question if we don’t know what you want to know. A single e-reader can hold 1500 books. Roughly 3 million were sold last year, so this means that potentially four billion five hundred million books were saved from being printed. That’s a LOT of paper and trees saved. Not to mention the cost to manufacture, store and sell the books.
