Corn and soybeans are the two most commonly harvested GMO crops in the world and the US today. Since much of the developing world has begun to use GMO crops, either with or without their government and the companies knowledge, it is much harder to pinpoint a world figure. In America however, strict USDA and FDA regulations have allowed the government to track GMO crop production in the United States. Nearly 89 percent of all the soybeans in the US are from genetically-modified as is 60 percent of all American corn. These vast fields of GMO crops are the products of only a few agribusinesses like Monsanto and Archer-Daniels.
