I couldn’t find a specific answer, but I can tell you that it’s not the majority. Sioux City has a $200 million food market, most of which is from food outside the area. However, there has been a movement towards locally grown food lately. Rob Marqusee, for one, has been encouraging Sioux City Chamber of Commerce to spend more of the money allotted for food on locally grown products by getting the government to offer incentives to aid the economy of the area.
