How much coal could we get rid of if we switched from coal power to nuclear power?

More than half of the power that the United States uses comes from coal.  We would get rid of quite a bit of coal, but then there would be just another set of problems that come from Nuclear power.  Chemicals like Uranium and Plutonium get dumped into the ocean after a plant has no need of them.  Coal is the biggest polluter, but Nuclear power is no eco-friendly power source.
