How much food can you get from the local food bank?

Just to give you an idea, the Greater Boston Food Bank distributes approximately 30 million pounds of food a year. The amount of food they give each person depends on how many family members have been declared. They usually ask people to come in twice a week, but it depends on your local food bank. Each visit, they usually give you several loaves of bread or rice, canned goods, salads, vegetables, and some sweets.
