How much water can we save if everyone switched to an efficient toilet?

It depends on what kind of toilets people already have. The new Low Flow or High Efficiency toilets can save an average family household between 8,000 and 20,000 gallons of water per year per toilet, if you still have the 7 gallon flush toilets. If a family has the 3.5 gallon toilet flush models, your family can still save around 3,200 gallons of water per year. So it depends on how many people have which type of toilet to replace to dictate how much there will be in savings, but as you can see from these numbers, it can amount for a lot of water conservation.
