Well, if you have a wind turbine providing all your electricity, you are no longer paying a utility company a monthly fee for electricity. Your electricity costs would simply be the cost of the turbine, installation, and any maintenance it incurs, which, spread out over the lifetime of the turbine, are supposedly much less than the total costs of paying a company for electricity over the same period of time.
