How much electricity can California use before going into peak power?

It takes approximately 50 gigawatts (That’s 41.33 Deloreans!) of power to send California into a stage two power emergency, which begins an automatic reduction of power that causes blackouts in companies that agreed to it beforehand. This is a staggering amount of power.

However “Peak power” is just a term that means the max amount of powerbeing used in one period, referring to the peaks on a graph. I was assuming you meant an energy crisis. But just to be safe, I have now answered both quesitons.

    I hope this helps.
