In ten years we could cross the threshold to stop global warming if nothing is done to slow it down. CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere are at a critical level, and further emissions could force us pass the point of no return. CO2 trades with components of the Earth and the oceans and may remain in our atmosphere for another 1000 years, so it’s essential that we cut emissions as quickly as possible. As for actual climate changes, ten years will likely reveal few changes – we could see a rise in global temperatures of a few degrees and further damage to our ice caps. Critical changes will take longer.
