As of 2007, 11.8% of all electricity in California was provided from renewable resources. Senate Bill 107 created California’s Renewables Portfolio Standard in 2006, mandating that 20% of all electricity must be generated from renewable resources by this year (2010). So a fair estimate of the current amount would range anywhere from 17% to 20%.
