    They are comparable in size.

    The Songhua River Mammoth reached heights of at least 16 feet and is estimated to that exceedingly large males may have exceeded 12 tons.

    The largest elephant ever recorded was shot in Angola in 1956. This male weighed about 13 tons with a shoulder height of 14 feet.
