Gray Wolves are 4.5-6 feet nose to tail and can weigh from 50- 85 lbs. Dogs have skulls that are 20% smaller than wolves and brains that are 30% smaller. There is much more variability among dogs, however. Dogs range in weight from only a few pounds to over a hundred pounds. Lengths vary tremendously as well. I’m not aware of an average dog size, though.
