How much better for the environment are digital cameras than old 35 mm cameras?

35mm Cameras come with a lot of different needs than a digital camera. First of all, most 35mm cameras used regular batteries, whereas digital cameras have a rechargable battery instead. Film in 35 mm cameras need to be processed, which requires a number of chemicals that are hazardous to your health. Digital camera film has the option of being processed, and if one decides to get their film developed, there is one less step than the 35mm camera. Hope it helps.
