I do not know the total percentage of Angeles National Forest that has burned over the past five years, but this year’s Station Fire consumed a considerable amount of Angeles National Forest. As of September 1, 2009, wildfires had burned 20 percent of Angeles National Forest. A later update stated that the Station Fire burned across 160,000 acres of the Angeles National Forest. This was the largest fire in the history of Los Angeles County.
