Forests “migrate” when the climate or conditions have become unfavorable for the trees that inhabit the area. An example of this happening is the mangrove forests in South Florida. This process usually takes several years, so it is difficult to say exactly how long it will take. Trees usually grow slowly, and climate change happens over several years, so again there is no set time that it takes for a forest to migrate.
