How many trees can a digital e-reader save in its lifetime?

I’m a big proponent of real books. E-readers just don’t give you the same tactile experience. I love to hold a book, feel the pages, and even the smell. That said, obviously not every should own a copy of every book they want to read. It’s not good for the environment, or your pocketbook, and there wouldn’t be room in your home for them all. Rent your books from the library! It’s free and it saves paper! Or buy from the thrift store and pass it along when you’re done.
