How many trees are in our rainforest?

Nearly three acres in a rainforest house more than 750 different types of trees and 1500 plants.  The Amazon Rainforest alone covers 1.2 billion acres of land, including rivers and jungles, so there is a large space of land to cover with trees and plants.  However, it is estimated that every 10 years an area the size of Texas is destroyed to make room for cattle farms and logging.  And every year the amount increases.  The rainforest is also home to many rare animals and insects as well.
