How many taxi’s are there on the Las Vegas strip?

There are approximately 3,100 taxi vehicles in Las Vegas, driven by 7,800 licensed taxi drivers. Of these vehicles, about 2,000 are working on any given evening, and 95% of them work in the four-mile zone known as “the Strip.” Interestingly, although taxis seem to be ubiquitous in Las Vegas, there are far fewer of them per capita than there are in New York City or Washington, D.C., although this is partially a function of the geographic area that licenses them–in Las Vegas, it’s Clark County which is quite large.
