In 2003, scientists came up with a very rough estimate on how many stars are in the universe: 70 sextillion stars or 7 with 22 following zeroes or 70,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars. Previous figures, put out by NASA, had estimated about 1 followed by 21 zeroes. Either way, it’s zillions for sure.
