Rainforests are very diverse.  In a four square mile area, you can find 1500 plant species and 750 different types of trees. More than 50% of the world’s plants and animals can be found in the rainforest.

It varies from place to place. However, the Amazon rainforest is home to 438,000 different species of plant. It makes sense that the Amazon could contain this huge number because it is also the largest rainforest in the world. The giant kapok tree is one of the most unique in the forest.
