    There are over 110 million sheep in Australia which is equal to about 10% of the global sheep population; there are over one billion sheep worldwide. China has the most sheep in the world with over 170 million head, with Australia coming in at second, but Australia is the world’s leader when it comes to the wool and lamb industries.
