I can’t give you a complete count or statistics, but it’ll satisfy to say that a huge number of rivers do originate in glaciers. That includes such large rivers as Amazon, Ganges, Indus, Brahmaputra, Yangtze, Ob, and Dnieper. Many others may not start in glaciers but are fed by them, such as the Rhine.
