It is hard to precisely measure the population due to the vastness of the oceans, but the rough numbers are: 400-450 in North Atlantic, 50-100 in North Pacific, 200-300 in Sea of Okhotsk, 12,000 in south of Southern Hemisphere, 9,000-10,000 in Arctic Ocean and sub-polar seas. That includes four species, for a total of 21,700-22,850 whales.
Just curious, was the pun in the question intentional?
