There are over 75 rainforests left in India. Interestingly, the rainforests of Asia stretch from India to Burma in the west to Malaysia and the islands of Java and Borneo in the east. Bangladesh has the largest area of mangrove forests in the world.
According to indianwildlifeportal.com, India only has one rainforest now. It’s located north eastern states of India – specifically Arunachal Pradesh and a bit of Assam. However, Assam’s rainforest area is very much decreasing.
