Females rabbits can have anywhere from 1-14 babies in a litter, but the average size is around 6. And the gestation period, or the length of time the female rabbit is pregnant, is only 28-31 days, so technically she can, therefore, have babies every month.
Rabbits typically have 4 to 12 kits in each litter.
Mother rabbits give birth of about 2-10 babies per litter but can have more too! The babies are born blind and helpless and are taken care of and nursed in the delicately fur-lined nest prepared by their mother
