"Climate Change" is an action that results from an environmental process brought on by changes in atmospheric gasses or solar influence on the atmosphere. What trees tend to filter out of the air is the carbon that makes up carbon dioxide. In the process the tree uses the carbon it absorbs to replace the carbon that soil micro-flora uses to access water and nutrients in the soil, which are then transferred to plant roots. An interesting side-bar on "Climate Change", there doesn't seem to have been much going on these past ten years.
