The number of plants you’re going to plant in the 10′ x 10′ space depends on how far apart you’d like to space the plants. Since you have 100 square feet of space and let’s say for the sake of this problem that you’d like to space them 10″ apart, you multiply the amount of square footage (100) by 1.45 to get approximately 145 plants for a 10′ x 10′ space. Obviously the less space you prefer in between each plant, the more you can fit into the same space and more space in between each plant, the fewer you can fit.
