How many people take earth day seriously?

Well, according to one source (which I have no idea of the truth-value of the information for, but it seems believable to me) there were 500 million people that cared enough to celebrate it last year. We’ve certainly come a long way from 1970 (I was negative 15 years old then!). That would mean that about 1 out of every 13 people seriously cares about earth day, which sounds believable enough to me!

Also when you consider how many web pages are now taking environmental issues into consideration, you find that number to be growing, hopefully at an exponential rate!
