How many people live in Antarctica?

         There aren’t any people living permanently in Antarctica, but there are usually about 4,000 scientists doing research there in the summer and 1,000 in the winter. So far, 10 children have been born on the continent. There are also about 1,000 people on average doing research in the ocean around Antarctica.
