I doubt there is a database for these kind of statistics. But I can help try to give you an idea. At this year’s Kentucky derby, the attendance was 155,804, arguably one of the most well attended events of the year. There are also tracks in 32 of the 50 US states. Now, it is hard to say the length of each race tracks season (for example Canterbury Downs in Minnesota runs from about May through September, while Del Mar in California runs from about July to September). However, you can still go to tracks that do not have live racing and bet at another track that is running races. I would bet it is quite safe to say that there are millions of visitors to horse tracks each year, but how many millions it is impossible to say without getting numbers from each track on ticket sales.
