Around 15-20 nonfatal attacks occur in Florida every year. Florida, by far, has the highest rates of attack. If you lump in the other states with healthy alligator populations, the total number of attacks each year is probably no higher than 25, maybe 30. In terms of fatalities, 12 people were killed between 2001-2007, for around 2 deaths per year. For contrast, the Nile crocodile in sub-Saharan Africa is held responsible for some hundreds of deadly attacks each year.
