How many people does it take to make a change for the environment?

Only ONE! While the changes one person can make to their own lifestyle may not be major, change is change, and every little bit helps. Other environmental activists have made bigger changes on their own by writing influential books, like author Aldo Leopold, who wrote the Sand County Almanack, Rachel Carson who wrote Silent Spring, and Henry David Thoreau who wrote Walden. Julia Butterfly Hill was also an influential figure, and Al Gore continues to be an activist for environmental causes.
