A subjective measure of how climate change effects people’s daily lives is impossible to quantify. As a global phenomenon, it could easily be said that every person on the planet is impacted by climate change in some way. However, a recently released report by the group Germanwatch states that from 1990 to 2008 600,000 people died as a result of extreme weather conditions which were a direct result of climate change. In addition the UN estimates there are 25 million refugees who have been displaced as a result of global warming and expect that number to double in the next 5 years.
