A numerical count is pretty meaningless, because the amount of energy produced by a solar panel depends on its size and how much sunlight it gets. If, just as a theoretical example, the rooftop of every building in New York had solar panels installed, but heavy clouds stuck around for a year, all the panels put together might not be enough energy to power the city.
