Well as of now there are 104 nuclear reactors in the U.S. and they are contributing to about 20 percent of the total energy our country needs. Looking at that,it would seem we have a way to go if we wanted to solely rely on nuclear power. Coal is what we rely on most heavily, with about 50 percent of our power coming from there, so if we could double or triple the number of nuclear reactors we use, we could replace coal with nuclear energy as our main source of power.
