The BMW Hydrogen 7 has a bivalent engine, meaning that it is designed to burn both standard gasoline as well as hydrogen fuel.  On gas mode, the BMW Hydrogen 7 gets 16.9 mpg on gas mode, and 17.7 mpg on hydrogen mode.  In addition, running solely on hydrogen mode gives the car a range of 125 mpg on a full tank, which is increased by 310 miles when in gas mode.
