How many Moose are in North America?

    At one time, the population of the North American Moose was on the verge of extinction. However, things have changed. Currently the IUCN, International Union for the Conservation of Animals, lists moose as an animal of “least concern.”  In 2002, the North American Moose population was estimated to be approximately 1,000,000.
