How many months of the year do male deer not have their antlers?

Good question, Stan Mcmillian.  Deer antlers are used for the mating season, so when it is over, the deer lose their antlers.  This happens somewhere between January and April.  The antlers grow back over the summer, so they are only without them for a few months before they start coming back.

    Hope this helps!
