How many lung cancer deaths occur among non-smokers?

It is estimated that at least 3000 nonsmokers die every year from lung cancer, often due to environmental tobacco smoke (ETS). Second hand smoke contains 4000 chemical compounds, 200 of which are known poisons. 20 of them are known carcinogens. There are also birth defects, asthma and many other respiratory infections caused by ETS.
