How many (if any) acres of crops would we lose if all farmers around the globe stopped using pesticides completely? Would the potential loss in harvest be worth it?

Since the use of pesticides, the United States has doubled the number of crops lost to pests. This means that if we stop using pesticides, farmers can expect to produce only half as much as they formerly produced. People have to make a decision as to whether or not they want to protect their health, provide more especially in an age of population crises, etc.
