Global warming is a long-term trend predicted by current and past CO2 greenhouse gas levels in the atmosphere. It would be difficult to estimate the number of deaths from climate change, as it is affecting the Earth very slowly. We know for sure that some small low-lying islands have already submerged and residents in other low-lying islands are being forced to relocate because of rising sea levels. In other areas of the world, there is not drastic temperature rise to induce heat stroke related deaths and global sea level rise has not affected other areas of the world (besides the aforementioned islands).
