Onshore oil wells’ productivity depends on the specific technology and the size & composition of the reservoir it taps. However, I believe a good average output for one such well would be 7-10 barrels of oil a day, based on a report linked below of the output of a new oil well in Calgary, Alberta.
The average production per well per day in the US is just about 10 barrels per well per day. (That’s the average for all wells, including the prolific Gulf of Mexico wells.) Estimates for decline vary but on average US oil wells are declining in their production by 2% to 7% each year.
