No exact figures have been offered yet, but some estimates have been made. At the time of this post, PBS estimates that 36,560,000 gallons have spilled so far. The first link below offers an estimate (note that it changes as time progresses), and the second link helps to put the numbers into perspective.
This answer changes daily. Each week, flow estimates increase and the number grows exponentially as the oil continues to pour forth. Recent estimates put the flow of oil at 2.5 million gallons of oil per day. However, oil is more commonly discussed in terms of barrels. One barrel contains 42 gallons. While BP is collecting 15,000 barrels per day (630,000 gallons), 45,000 barrels, or 1,889,000 gallons, still flows directly into the Gulf. Thats 3.5 million, 2-liter bottles of soda, everyday.
