There are no current listings for fish consumption in America.  However, in 1997 about 14.7 pounds of fish was eaten per person and in 2000 it was estimated that 195 pounds of poultry, meat, and fish was eaten per person.  In 2006 a worldwide survey estimated 16.4 kg of fish eaten.  A steady increase in fish consumption has continued worldwide.
