Well, all of them. But I don’t think that is the answer you are looking for. If you mean how many batteries do we have on stand by waiting to go into electric vehicles, I think the batteries will probably be made when the vehicle is made, but if you mean how many kinds of batteries are there that power electric vehicles, then the answer is many different kinds. The gas-electric hybrids of today use nickle metal hydride cell batteries. Other battery technology applicable to electric vehicles would be lithium-ion batteries, lithium polymer batteries, and zinc-air batteries.
