It depends on the type of turtle. For instance, the Ryukyu black-breasted leaf turtle only lays one egg, whereas the marine turtle can lay hundreds of eggs at a time.
There are about 250 species of turtles, so you can imagine there is a lot of variety between them! The amount of eggs laid can range from one, as in the African Pancake Tortoise, to about 200, as with the Sea Turtle. Another variation is in the amount of times a turtle lays eggs during a single breeding season, which usually lasts from late spring to late fall. A female turtle may lay one group of eggs, or as many as seven different groups in this time period! There is a pretty large range of the amount of eggs a turtle will lay during one breeding season, I recommend more detailed research for each species you are interested in.
