How many dorado are there in the ocean?

There is no exact count of the amount, which is constantly changing due to fishing and birthing. Dorado (or Mahi-mahi) have a very quick birthrate, doubling in possibly as little as 15 months, they also mature very quickly. As a result of their quick maturing Dorado can be fished frequently without risk of overfishing.

It is estimated that they are quite common and their are large populations.

Dorado fish, also called mahi-mahi, are abundant in the ocean. They are found in tropical and sub-tropical ocean water, and are fished for recreational and commercial uses. The overall population is unknown.
