Many dangerous pesticides are used on tobacco crops. Of these are Aldicarb, Chlorpyrifos and 1,3–D (1,3–Dichloropropene, also known as Telone). All of these have been shown to cause very adverse effects in humans. This is just one of the many environmental consequences of tobacco.
