Over time, different strains have been cross-bred to form new and different strains – and this process keeps continuing over time, and will continue as long as the marijuana industry (albeit mostly an underground, illegal industry) stays profitable. Also, marijuana continues to become genetically stronger over time – it is stronger now than it was in the 1960s because growers always try to cultivate the best representation of each plant, thereby weeding out the weaker, less robust plants and creating stonger, more potent ones.
