I’m not sure if you’re talking about varieties (temperate and tropical) or different locations of rainforests around the world. Here are maps showing the extent of both temperate and tropical rainforests around the world.
Rainforests only cover about 6% of the earth’s surface. There are rainforests located in Central and South America, Africa, Oceania (islands around Australia), and Asia. The larger rainforests are in the Amazon River Basin in South America, the Congo River Basin in western Africa, and in parts of southeast Asia. Smaller rainforests can also be found in Australia, Central America, India, and Madagascar.
There are also temperate rainforests located along the Pacific coast in the United States, Canada, Chile, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland, and Tasmania.
